Launched in 2014 at the Triennale, Milan, the Kanjian brand was established to fulfil three key objectives: empowering minority communities, reinvigorating the global markets appetite for traditional Chinese and Mongolian craftsmanship and honouring heritage skills.
The brand has enlisted international designers including Tom Dixon, Neri & Hu, Michael Young and Chi Wing Lo to re-contextualise techniques and fabrications for a modern audience.
